Class Schedule

All classes are open to Sun City West Rec Card holders.

General Class Information

 

CLASSES IN:  Dance (Jazz, Musical Theatre, Ballet, Hula)   Fitness ( Zumba, Pilates and Tai Chi) (see below for class info)

LOCATION:   Dance Studio, Palm Ridge Rec Center

HOURS

Tuesday and Thursday dance and fitness:  7:30 AM – 6:30 PM.     Sunday Zumba: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM.     Studio is available on Saturday  12-4 PM.   Hours are specific to each class; scroll down to an exact time schedule per class.  Dance classes are in recess during the summer.  Fitness classes go year round. 

SESSIONS

Fitness classes have a SUMMER schedule (see below).  Regular dance classes start the day after Labor Day and end on the last Thursday of May.  Fitness classes (Zumba and Pilates) go year round.

FEES

It is a requirement to belong to the Dancing Arts Club which is $15.00 per year for residents of Sun City West.  Additional instructor fess apply specific to the class taken.  Fitness class fees are by punch card (rate per class depends on the number of punches purchased).  Call 509-389-6653 or email dancingartsscw@gmail.com for instructor fee info.

DANCE CLASSES

JAZZ:

Tuesday and Thursday  10 AM – 11 AM

MUSICAL THEATRE:

Tuesday and Thursday 11 AM – 12:00 PM

BALLET:  

Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM

HULA:   

Tuesday (advanced) (12:00 PM – 2:00 PM)
Thursday (advanced) (12:00PM – 1:00 PM, or will go until 2:00 PM if no “beginners” hula class is offered)
Thursday – Beginners (when available)  1:00PM – 2:00 PM

FITNESS CLASSES

ZUMBA – AM

Tuesday (all levels) 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM (summer sessions may start later).

 Also a Sunday Zumba (all levels) 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM.

ZUMBA – PM

Tuesday (all levels) 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM
(Same time year round)

TAI CHI

Tuesday and Thursday 3:45 PM – 4:45 PM
(Starting September 3, 2019)

PILATES

Tuesday and Thursday (all levels)  2:30 PM – 3:30 PM (Mat and Stability Ball Exercise).  
(Same time year round)

SUMMER SCHEDULE

ZUMBA:  Tuesday (all levels). The morning session starts at 8:30 AM. Afternoon class remains at 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM.  Also Sunday remains at 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM.

Pilates and Tai Chi time unchanged.
